From the Manufacturer MRC’s N gauge dual mode diesel sound decoder for Kato’s SD80 and SD90/43MAC is 100% drop-in. Remove the factory pc board and replace with the MRC sound decoder/speaker combo. No wiring needed. MRC’s true, live capture, sound includes diesel rumbles, actually recorded (rail side) by MRC’s Sound Engineers from real diesel locomotive prime movers. Decoder include (33) horns, eight-bells, brakes, air releases, pop valves, cooling fans, coupling sounds and more. Four types of synchronized diesel prime mover sounds. 0.75 amp capacity. Programmable features include individual sound volumes, either 2-digit or 4-digit addresses, start voltage and top voltage, advanced consisting (CV19), and programming on the main (OPS mode). Selectable factory default speed curve. Advanced speed table control CV67-CV94. Kick start voltage control CV65. 3 headlight effects: Directional/rule 17/off-dim-bright cycle. Complies with Part 15 of FCC regulations. DC power pack users can enjoy the full capability of the 0001808 when coupled to MRC’s unique and exclusive BlackBox (#0001050) control unit or the Tech 6 line of power packs. (Locomotive not included).
